Thanks for taking the time to check out my website. I have been breeding dachshunds for over 20 years. I am a small breeder, and all are raised in my home. I have from 1-3 litters a year. All are minis, and are AKC registered. I have a variety, from smooth coated dapples, long haired, piebalds, and a beautiful soft-coated dachshund. Looking forward to mating him, and producing some soft coated. They do not shed, and really are cute. Check out the picture of Awesome. All pups will be wormed, and be up to date with all of their shots. I prefer to hold them until they are 8 weeks old, as that helps in their adjusting to their new homes. I totally hand raise them. They truly are a special breed. One of the most common questions I am asked is; Is the female more loving or docile than the male? I feel that they are equal, and the way they develop depends on how you raise them. I usually state that the female is not called a "bitch" for nothing!! They tend to be the more dominant of the sexes. I remember the first time I went looking to buy a dachshund. There were about six of the pups, and it was kind of hard to decide. The pup chose me, and settle on my lap, as I sat on the floor. She was my first Angel, and truly was my love. I tell everyone to check around, do some research, and then decide on the breed of dog you want to have. Check out the breeder, as he will want to be sure that you are right for his baby. I have been very blessed to find wonderful homes for all of my pups. The greatest gift I got back from a lady who had purchased a pup, was to learn that she had taken it to Texas, where it was raised to be a care dog for a hospital. She had sent me a wonderful letter praising me on how loving the pup was, and had appreciated all that I had done in raising it. What a gift to me!!! I love the laughter and love that my dachshund family gives to me. You will get many years of joy. |
